We decided to join in with Wrong Trousers Day to support The Grand Appeal. We swapped trousers so we were ALL wearing the Wrong Trousers!
Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal is the charity which supports Bristol Children’s Hospital. The donations are used to fund three family accommodation facilities as well as working with the hospital to create a child-friendly environment and with music and play therapies to support poorly children and their families. It is also used for vital equipment and research which can literally change or save lives.
Wrong Trousers Day has been taking place for the last 17 years in partnership with Aardman Animations, the studio behind Wallace and Gromit. This year, the event will take place virtually to ensure a continuation of support for our NHS heroes.
The public are being encouraged to support and raise awareness of the Grand Appeal by uploading a #WrongTrousersDay photo and making a donation. So grab your lucky leggings, playtime PJs or jazzy jeans and take a pic!
You can register to participate in advance and download a fundraising pack. There are also fun Wrong Trousers Day themed activities to keep children busy whilst home learning: https://gromitunleashedshop.org.uk/pages/activity-packs
I hope you join in too! Share your Wrong Trousers pictures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #WrongTrousersDay and tag @thegrandappeal (maybe give them a follow to keep up to date on their fabulous work too…)
