Let’s start off with family. My daughter is brave, fun, individual, a princess, a tomboy. She is fierce, she is vulnerable. I can’t wait to see what she does next and what sort of person she will grow to be.
Next, my mum. She is always there for me and the children. She often drives me crazy and I’m sure she feels the same about me. We are soooo similar!
My sister: my lifelong best friend despite the endless bickering of our teeneage years. I remember the night she was born, the times we shared a bedroom as children and giggled rather than slept.
Historically I am fascinated by the women who challenged the partriarchal sociaety that sought to control them. If I could meet anyone in history, it would be Anne Boleyn, a woman who refused to be the mistress of a king and forced him to change the religion of the whole country for love, but in the end paid for her bravery in blood.
In popular culture, I admire women who use their intelligence to champion others. Emma Watson is not afraid to speak out on political issues and lived up to her Hermione character by postponing her acting career while she completed her university degree.
This may make me unpopular but I admire Theresa May. I do not approve of many of her policies but she has taken on a role seeing through a potentially devastating change for the UK that lots of her peers refused to despite their earlier support of Brexit.
