Education is an area I feel passionate about. My mum was a teacher. I have worked as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor and teacher (I have worked with ages 4-16!) Now I work in 3 schools as clerk to the governors and an exam invigilator.

I have written previously with exam advice for my own children as well as some words of ‘wisdom’ about grades. I have also reflected on news stories that affect MY children, OUR children.

So I won’t repeat myself today but will instead highlight the incredible work that schools and educators do each and every day. They go beyond their remit, often buy their own resources, work longer hours than they are paid and are truly dedicated professionals.

Please support your local schools in any way you can, whether it is through volunteering to hear readers or go on school trips, joining the PTA, becoming a governor or just attending school events.
