With the half term holiday just around the corner, it seems like forever since the summer holidays!
We had a wonderful family holiday this summer to the Isle of Wight. I last went with my parents 25 years ago so I had a few memories but we all approached this as a new adventure: the ferry was particularly exciting!
The highlight of the holiday was the trip to Blackgang Chine, so good we went twice.
A close second was the steam railway. We are huge fans (as you may know!) and our visit coincided with a great event which included a circus which held us spellbound for a whole hour (even little Zach!)
I have just had to look back at my Isle of Wight posts to see all the things that we did, I can’t believe how many I’d forgotten already 🙁 The most important thing is the happy feeling I get when I think of the holiday even if I can’t remember the specifics (will baby brain EVER end?!) and I think I may show the children the photos again soon to keep the holiday fresh in their memories.
Next year we are hoping to visit Wales so let me know if you have any recommendations!
