Is summer finally approaching? (Monday 8th May)

I have been a bit of a grump with the whole weather situation 🙁
Zach’s birthday weekend was glorious but since then it had pretty much been grey cloud permanently and rain on several school runs.
Yesterday afternoon was great and the sun was shining, a great excuse to make the most of our lovely garden. Zach has new shoes so was toddling around outside for the first time. Matthew and Anya are working hard on their bike riding and scooter confidence. Plus loads of gardening!

 

I can’t believe that the weekend was over so quickly. Time seems to be racing by so fast and our time together is so precious as the children grow in a heartbeat! Last week Zach couldn’t walk, now he can. Matthew has worked really hard on cycling so that he cab join in with his Beavers in a few weeks. Anya is doing fantastically with her reading and writing.
The sun definitely has a positive effect on us so let’s hope that summer is finally on its way!

    The weather has been awful just lately, we keep being teased by a bit of sun and then the grey cloudy weather returns. It looks like you had a lovely weekend in the garden x

    I hate grey days – that’s why I moved to Florida in my twenties. Occasionally we have cloudy days usually with rain but then the sun comes out and it’s beautiful again. Love your family photos – the kids look adorable. #MMBC

    Grey days are the worst… And it is not much better over here. It does not seem to warm up just yet. Lets hope the summer will last longer than other years then.

    Aww lovely weekend photos – I agree that the sunshine makes for a better time. I can’t believe how cold it is today, but I’m sure the sun will come soon 🙂

    I don’t know where you are based but our weather has been quite different in North Yorkshire. A ridiculously mild winter and a sunny and dry spring. We actually have a drought. Cold today all of a sudden! Summer will be rubbish probably.

    I think it’s hit the north for sure! We’ve had 5 consecutive days of 18 degree sunshine, we were on the beach all day yesterday which was amazing! Fingers crossed summer stays around!

    I can’t agree more. It’s not only the dog who has put on some winter pounds through lack of proper exercise. Coming home from work and going for a walk in the park is an amazing treat – long may it last

    Lovely snaps! I have read this after having to de-ice my car this morning, before work. The UK weather is a mystery to me. I am really hoping it heats up soon!

    Weather has been so grey here in Paris too, especially over weekends it has been overcast and wet. ugh! Hopefully we will all have some better weather soon. Enjoy your gardening time with your family, looks like fun. 🙂

    I’m such a huge grump about the weather! It wasn’t a bad winter as such, but it seemed to last forever! We still haven’t seen much sun here but it is finally feeling warmer at least. #familyfunlinky
