I think most of us have done it at some point, accidentally ordered something because you checked out without double-checking the basket. (I know I did this at Chemist.co.uk and ordered 2 Balance wrinkle fillers just before Christmas!)
This time round it was Chris’ turn: he bought some bits on Amazon and left a sports nutrition sample box on too.
It actually turned out quite well as there were several items that were vegetarian and wheat free so I could try them out. Yay!
Now I’ll be honest, protein and sports foods are not on my radar so I never would have considered buying this for myself. However, I loved the variety of products included and have definitely found some I would like to eat again. I am not at all sporty but am always on the lookout for snacks to keep me going through the day (being a parent is hard work and exhausting!)
The bar I was most excited about was the Milky Way protein bar. I ate it on the train on the way home from the London Blogging Event on Saturday. The other bars had a similar after-taste so I’m guessing that is a consequence of the high protein. (The only other bar I’ve tried previously was a Fitjoy bar from the BlogOn Xmas goody bag and this also has the taste). The BattleOats and Pulsin bars were also delicious and I didn’t feel too guilty about the chocolate content!
At the moment Amazon has an offer for Prime members where you buy the box for £10 and then get a £10 credit to buy sports nutrition products (check website for full terms and conditions.)
