So January has been and gone. I think everyone is feeling much positive now that February is here. I’m looking forward to half term starting on Friday, I suppose I’d better come up with some things to do!
I am very excited to have been invited to join as a host for 2018. This year we have the extra twist that we want to be more active on social media (see below to get your posts shared on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest).
My favourite post from last week was this one from Bluebell and Marigold. It was an incredibly powerful post about a very sensitive subject. The blame culture which is associated with rape cases is just plain wrong. The women who make false accusations destroy the credibility of women who have genuinely been through a traumatic ordeal. The brave women who come forward should not be made to feel ashamed or have to take responsibility for the behavour of others.
Shank You Very Much loved this post from The Dad Effect. Discussing faith with children is a tricky one. My children have heard what I believe and know there are alternatives which are equally valid. I have taught them that no one knows for certain and this is why it is faith not fact.
One Messy Mama highlighted this post from Cubkit. Boredom is a crucial skill that children have to master. They need to understand that life cannot always be filled with fun. I sometimes say to my own kids ‘Do you think I enjoy laundry?!’ and they look taken aback.
