The Traitors is a card game requiring skill and cunning. It is based on the TV show with the same name.
A minimum of 4 players are required to play. One person is the traitor while the others are faithful. The object of the game is to collect gold to share or steal at the end of the round. You need to agree in advance how many rounds you are going to play. As well as the cards you do need pieces of paper and pens/pencils but it is crucial that they are identical or they could identify the traitor in your midst.
There is a digital option to support the game but it is also easy to play without. Players take a card from the game deck. Gold may be collected but if an event card is found then an action must be performed. A quiet night means play moves to the next player but a murder means someone will be eliminated from the game.
At the end of the round, players reveal their role. If all are faithful then the gold is shared but if a traitor remains then they steal the cash! Play then continues for the agreed number of rounds then the gold is added up and the winner is the player with the most coins.
The game is aimed at ages 8+ but 7 year old Zach could follow the rules. The Traitors game is available for an RRP of £11.99.
