Happy Monday everyone and welcome to Global Blogging.

I am very excited to have been invited to join as a host for 2018. This year we have the extra twist that we want to be more active on social media (see below to get your posts shared on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest).

Speaking of which: exciting news… we have started a Facebook group to get more social engagement. It is brand new but we hope to have comment and share posts on there to promote the blog posts linked up here but also others that you post during the week. Yay! Now some grumpy time again 🙁 Sadly, we have noticed that some people are not displaying our badge on the blog post or website (all of mine are at the bottom of every page so I don’t need to remember to add everytime I join a favourite linky) and some people are not reciprocating with comments.

From now on, please skip any post that does not have the badge and let us know so we can make sure there wasn’t a problem with adding it. We will also be checking comments so make sure you have #globalblogging at the end of your comment. Last week was your warning and I put gentle reminders on some comments: ask for help if you need it (personal DM on FB or Twitter or through the FB group)!

My favourite post from last week was this one from The Next Best Thing To Mummy. I loved this post reminding us about the importance of children’s play and how it contributes to their learning.

Shank You Very Much chose The Desperate Housewife‘s post as her favourite. I can completely understand the amount of noise that a family generates and how sometimes it is easiest to tune it out.
